That is a beautiful Umbee you got there! Im growing out one myself and I believe its a male at about 4.5" now. I know that Umbee's are pretty slow growers but how long did it take him to get that size?

just wondering if they get more blue spots on their cheek as they get bigger?

He has a female, about 9". They live together in harmony until he tries to kill her and she ducks into a piece of 3" PVC or the flower pot he can't get into.

I have a smaler pair as well that I like even better. The male is growing into an awesome fish. He's about 10" and his female is about 5". They spawn on a regular basis, always have fry available.
