very nice.... handsome couple .... funny how neither one was interested in the pellet floating around... lol

They have eaten a total of 4 pellets sense Monday. Seems to be more interested in the job at hand. I seem to have to net more pellets out then they have been eating, so I drop in 2 at a time, when I see they are gone I drop in 2 more.
Jig Jig has broken off his teeth again. Thats a good thing for me when it comes to water change day, especially with eggs in the tank. I imagine it will be worse when the eggs hatch.

Don't worry about them not eating.. just give them two and forget it for now.. they are healthy and can go many days with out food with no harm done.. what they are trying to accomphish is way more important.. and has to be done with in a time frame.. good luck on those babies coming. going to be awesome babies from this pair.

Eight days after eggs hatch, first day of free swimming.

This was a week ago today. Now there are just about 20 or so fry left.
I think because this is a brand new tank, 3 weeks old, there is not a lot of food in there for the fry yet and they are keeping the herd small. Now this is
just my guess, one of them may just have wanted to eat their young. I don't know.
Jig is doing his breeding dance again, maybe they will get it done this time without eating all their fry.
