Java moss & Java fern will do just fine. You could also try Anubias or Cryptocoryne. Crazy try would be Echinodorus, I once had a specimen in a 10 gal tank with just an incandescent bulb. Didn't grow much, but didn't die, either.

Absolutely!
If you have anything other than Java fern/moss or Anubias, you should definitely add at least iron ferts! I inject mine straight into the watersystem.

Anubias? Honestly, from this angle and with some blurriness, it doesn't look a lot like Anubias .... looks more like a stem plant than one with a rhizome ... :confused:

Thinking of it, please let me emphasize that I am talking about fertilizers for aquarium use, not household plants ... just making sure we're on the same page ;)

okay. i wasnt positive. they werent labeled when i bought them and i just looked up aquatic plants and tried to match them up.

Hey, no worries at all. If you'd like to know more about the plant, please feel free to post this pic (or a sharper image ;)) in our planted tank forum, there are lots of guys who will be glad to help. :thumbsup:
