I see many questions of "can i put ****with my **** ray?" I see many suggestions and hear-say without much info on the actual tank like, what the size of the tank, rays and fish in question, lighting, decor...etc. all effecting temperment. i think people would benefit more by seeing which fish get along in each certain situation

Please post your ray tanks:
size of aquarium, dimensions
list and size of fish

Ok my picture sucks butt so sorry.....
500 gal. 8x4x2 w/180 sump and 30 inline pup tank
1F retic 14in
1M retic 10in
1M retic 6in
1F retic 4in
5 bala sharks 7-13inches
10 silver dollars all over 3in diameter
4 rainbow's
2 bristle nose pleco's both over 4 inches
1 upside down catfish
1 yo-yo loach

30 gal pup tank
3F retic's 3 in each

Pups have all been born in the main system and then been moved to the pup tank after birth. Mom was only seperated the first time. Both her and dad leave the pups alone after birth and it just seemed to cause more stress on both of them to be seperated from each other.

tank is filtered only with 2 7in filter socks and 5 gallons of bio balls all in sump. Pump has a turn over rate of about 5000 gal per hour. I do 1 30% water change a week and add new water as it evaporates at a rate of about 30 gallons a week.
Tank lighting is T8's right now, actinic and 10k.

my pup tank has. 2f motoro, 1 male motoro. 5 clown loaches. pictus cat. ossa knife fish. and a climbing perch.
my other tank i have 2m hystrixs , 3 paroon sharks, 1 p bass. and 2 florida gar. i have found that keeping gar can be risky, they can nip during feeding, so i only keep them with much bigger rays and u gotta make sure there mouths are full before feeding the rays, or they go down there an try an steal the food. have seen some keep them together no problems but this is just my experience.
once my indoor pond is done i plan to move the biggest paroon shark in there with the male hystrixs an hopefully in the future a mature female hystrixs for them:naughty:

Is that the tank my little girl will be going into USMCtanker?

yep yep the pup tank, the motoros are prob going to get moved into the bigger tank soon. plan to keep ur little girl in the pup tank for a while. like to fatten them all up an keep a close eye on them when there little. so i have my pup tank next to my couch. cant wait to build my pond so i can start breeding my hystrixs.
after seeing ur pics, my wife tells me that next summer i need to put our tank in the wall lol. oh boy

LOL sorry about that with the wife but tell her it was a pain in the *** but worth it :) You say you like to fatten them up....I am thinking fattening her up won't be necessary she is a fatty :) The best thing we did was hook up that little 30 gallon with the big tank, we drilled a hole in the wall and ran tubing down to the sump and then drilled the tank and ran water from the big tank into the pup tank so even though it's only 30 gallons I don't have to worry so much about the water since it's on a 600 gal system. It is a pretty tank in the wall though....and you guys are always more than welcome to come over to see it in person after the roads arn't nearly so nasty. I my self am in the market for a few Hystrix right now.

My main tank has 2-M Motoros, 2-F Motoros,1-M Retic, Large Siver Arowana, 2 Gold Severum, 1 Datnoid and 2 large Bala Sharks. All of them get along very well. I like this thread because I had my large clown loaches in there too but heard they might not work with the rays. I would like to add them back in if they'll work.
