For those who don't remember my Amphilophus, here's a picture from his first night home:

He has two little nicks out of his tail because he was in a battle with my buddy's Amphilophus citrinellus. We assumed they would be fine because they're both tough enough to hold their own, but we were wrong. This nine inch red devil already killed a 10" Hoplias malabaricus, and nearly killed a 12" Midas. He is ridiculous. The only tankmates he's come to live with is a nine inch royal panaque, and an eight inch wild caught Crenicichla lenticulata. The pike doesn't back down, either. The pike is the only fish the red devil has run away from.
