x2, mine is the same was, only he's 2", and you can barely see him when looking at the tank, and i guess i'll mention agian that he is a

"true" Aequidens rivulatus, can't wait till he's big, becuase he'll be a piece of gold for rare fish collecters.

i believe it is a female, but i'd like you to sex it, i can never get a pic of it being that it is so skittish, so i might try the bag approach, just have to find a camera in my house and i'll get you the pic.
