I know he is crazy red! I have clay gravel in with him so I'm sure that makes it stronger but that's why I had to have him even in a bare bottom tank he was super red.

Babying this RTM and feeding heavy so he can catch up to his future mate. Got this guy at 1.5" he's 4" now but his future mate is at 5". Poor pic but I'll take another one later
Wanted to give an update on the Jag. Since the last post I've moved it into a new home where it can be top dog with no confrontations. The color change has been dramatic in my opinion, it was nearly black in the first tank I put it in. Now it's really patterning up, and I think it looks like a male? But I'm no expert...Anyways here's some new pics for comparison I'm really happy with the overall growth and it's personality has really come out now that it's not worried about other bigger fish in the tank with it.
My vieja melanura Laguna Yaxha and also my vieja maculicauda (black belt) both are around 4.5 inches or maybe 5
Here's my Leonard, personally bred. He will be a year old on the 13th of March. Pushing 7" and thickening up nicely
Here's a couple of my little monsters I'm growing out. Bought a group of 5 red tiger motas. Only about .75-1" now. Also bought a little festae about a month ago he's pushing a whopping 1.5" now. And I also bought a group of 5 "istlanum".... pretty sure they're grammodes though. Happy either way! They're about 1.5-2". I also just got in some 3" deppi and some 2" salvinis. Both are still super shy right now but once they come out I'll get some pics. Enjoy =]
