Red you seeing any new growth in those sharks? Also did you ever go fully brackish, or salt with them? My friend has one and wants to know how long he can keep it semi-fresh. His is about 6" now, and looks very healthy.

They are totally brackish now..i started them when they were about 9 inches ...they are over a foot now but do not seem to be growing ...just look really healthy and happy in brackish, in fresh water they will eventually have skin problems...mine were startin to have spots and marks on them and i knew it was a sign to get them in salt.. what do you mean by semi fresh, theres just fresh and then brackish,.... and then salt... they are happy to be in brackish for life.. :D Sp tell your friend if he starts seeing any problems with their skin it is time...and then they should be slowly aclimated to it.. it was amazing as soon as they got use to it their skin turned so beautiful and flawless.. i have a pair.. they have tried to mate .. but thats another story... lol.

when I say semi fresh I just mean he puts a little salt in, not enough to qualify as brackish. He has it housed with all freshwater fish. He didn't know any better and bought it at walmart.

dcamp those are awesome thanks for sharing

oh yeah what are their sizes?

Definitely a monster, and I am defnitely jealous.

lol he is preety cool, i know plp that come over they either love him or hate him. He use to be very entertaining because of everything he ate and i mean "everything" but now he just sticks to pellets and krill.
