I use almost all scrubbies and it works great for me.

Howdy,

While pot scrubbies are great for a w/d, they are worthless in a canister. They have a surface area orders of magnitude lower than modern biomedia and will not substancially help you for biofiltration. And they're too coarse to really serve as mech in a canister. Bottom line: Bad idea. Perfect waste of canister space.

hmm i thought they were good in a canister. i was just trying to saave some bucks.

Hey!, how about trying it for us (I know others are already doing it and are happy but...). With your setup it could make for a good comparison study. The filter is a little fast (for such tight quarters for media) but will work and definitely won't clog as fast as the other media ;).

You can always go to the 'other' media if you don't think it's up tp par in 6 months and still be able to clean your dishes for 10 years :nilly:.

Well my water parameters are fine right now so the only comparison would be how quick it clogs right now i clean the orginal fx5 about every 45 days or i get micro bubbles. Im thinking i just might do it since i already have 60 scrubies on hand it cost a whoping 10 buck verses about 75 for biomax.;)
