Yeah, I definitely took your word for it and stumbled upon this by chance just shopping for bio media.

I bought a brand new Fluval 406 today at petsmart on an impulse. (Instead of a 304b) I didn't have much money left over after purchasing it. I decided to skip the scrubbies and I cut up an old aquaclear 110 coarse sponge and made 4 large blocks. I ended up with one tray of biomax, one of the black eggcrate foam, and two trays of coarse sponge in addition to the regular sponge pads in the mechanical media tray.
