Potamotrygon orbignyi aka Teacup ray

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Glasscages makes a 125 wide thats 72 x 24 x 17. That could be a good starting point.

Scobina is one of the smallest rays on the market. They fetch a good price, and could live in a small tank for a short period of time... But if you seriously are thinking of trying to house a ray for life, you will want to upgrade in the future. I got a Retic teacup ray 3" almost a year ago, and now its atleast double, prolly a 7.5 inch disk. Good healthy female, and she was in a 90 until recently i got a 120 to upgrade to. Couldnt pass up the tank, so i atleast bought more time... You can try it, and you may succeed, but it isnt an easy task to house a Ray for life. I honestly dont think a 125G tank is sufficient for any Ray for life comfortably.
Just my thoughts..

smallest tank size for any type of ray is 6x2x2ft

get the 6x2x2ft 1st then think about getting a ray more trouble than its worth growing rays on in anything less than a 6x2x2ft

if you dont have money for a 6x2x2ft tank then you dont have enought money to keep rays they are alot more expencive to take care of than other fish

thats fine height doesnt mattter as much as width...., need the width...

hollywood is his name and he keeps to retics in 100 gallon if retics would kinda be your only choice for a 125
