I'd say no, after you factor in WCing and feeding then growing them for a year or 2 I'd say you break even or lose. Retics are a little harder to keep ray species. Ray noobs kill them often.

1. Have fun keeping the retic until its a garbage can lid size.
2. Hardly anyone wants a big retic as new ray keepers usually get them cuz their cheap and they think they stay small.
3. Even if you find someone to buy your big retic, it'll only be for a really small fraction of the money you used to keep it till it was as big as a garbage can lid.

i like them black and white spotted ones the most.never kept a ray but would love to start a tank up with them.how hard are these to keep?ive been keeping fish for over 25 yrs now so i am sure i could do it but will need to read up on them.after seeing those little ones today and pics on here-they have gained my interest.
