i like them black and white spotted ones the most.never kept a ray but would love to start a tank up with them.how hard are these to keep?ive been keeping fish for over 25 yrs now so i am sure i could do it but will need to read up on them.after seeing those little ones today and pics on here-they have gained my interest.
Their looks are appealing, but the price tag isnt. Averaging around $5000 per pup im guessing is not what you're willing to spend on a fish. If you were to keep one for life, you're going to need atleast 180 gallons, and thats just bare minimum for one ray. Forgot to mention when they get about 2 years old, they go through about a bag of shrimp, a bag of smelt, and a bag of silversides all in a week. Unless you're willing to put in the money and commitment, i suggest you dont do it. If you do decide to keep it, its the same as all fish, clean steady water, overly filtrated water, good food, and alot of water changes is pretty much all you need.
