true scobinas are out of Brazil, and currently under a ban, so you probably won;t find one, humerosas are often misidentified as scobinas as they can look very similar, with just a skin texture difference

Also Scobinas have five rows of thorns running down the tail too. That is the most accurate way of identification of a Scobina:)

is the any other small ray. what is a teacup ray i have herd they only grow 8inch

teacup is just a name for rays to small to ID

teacups are normaly retic and still grow to 16inch + disk

the only options you have for a 6x2x2ft tank are scobina and hystrix long term both are very hard to find and just because you are told its a hystrix or scobina doesnt mean it is

do lots of resurch before you buy ANY rays

if you are getting the rays shipped to you get a video of them feeding before you buy

ok i removed all the non related rubbish posted in this thread that has nothing to do with buying scobina in the UK.

on topic i have thought about buying some scobina pups myself, T1 and i was talking abut it last month.

glass cages 900$ 96"x30"x25" 300gallon 900$ best bet give the ray some swimmming room

just relized you are in the uk guess that tank cant help you

Make sure you know what you are getting david, lots of mislabeled rays out there. I'd like to see more hystrix about personally, bit bigger (14"ish), but I think I prefer the pattern to scobinas. Either way, good luck!
