Thanks everyone for the suggestions, and for the safety tips! Tried Lowes and a Pool/Gardening supply place yesterday but no luck finding KMnO4. I'll keep the plants where they are for now (in holding tanks) untill next week - if I have to join the holiday drivers again today I'll kill someone!
My attempt at a moss wall fell apart yesterday so the rest is on hold untill after Christmas anyway.
May just go with the bleach bath.
