Potato bug

Around where I live people call these Potato Bugs even though it's a type of Stink Bug. I've fed them to my oscar before. He'll eat anything. The rest of my fish won't touch them.

where I'm from (idaho the land of potatos) we call these potato bugs-

not jerusalem crikets or roly polys. but from the description i think your referring to the cricket. and no, i would not feed him to your oscar. bugs are always loaded with pesticides and crap like that...
 
isnt the first pic that buy that rolls up into a little ball. i see those here alot but in the grass and like most places i wouldnt trust it as it has pesticides.

i often see something similar up here but with spots. They have hooks on their legs to hang on to things. They have very tough exoskeletons. But they are very friendly so I wouldnt kill him :)
