Potential Stocklist and little input

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nice cant wait to see it. I am a big fan of large community set ups. Don't have one myself but I think they are great. I would add a large group of cherry barbs I love the look of older ones.

Like cherry barbs.....I got rock yesterday afternoon and will add it today and get another pic up.

Nice video cant wait to see them grown out. Did you ever get the L200? I am on the hunt for 1 or 2 of them myself. I have to wait for a LFS to get them in cause they are 1 fish I want to see before buying.

No...I'm waiting on a couple vendors to find me a L152 first and then I'll get the rest from them also. They are having a hard time finding them.

IMO the cajun gave you some sage advice, I would also pass on the Yashikotakia Modesta "Red Tail Loach" x12 for the reasons previously stated. Y. modesta can be nasty fin nipping SOB's when they get larger. They are not social fish like clown loaches.

Have you had a group of red tail's before? There is plenty fish that if kept in small numbers can be issues, however when kept in large numbers with adequate space they are not that. I had 6 in my 220 with tiger loaches (which can be aggressive also) and all they did was chase each other around all day lol. Don't take that the wrong way, it was a serious questions if you've had them in larger groups or not.

I've kept clowns before but always lost them for I don't know why. However I didn't have a 350 at that time and maybe if I get 12+ of them will have better success with them....

If your mind is set on it then good luck. I personally wouldn't keep modesta in a SA setting for a number of reasons, potential aggression to other species was just one of those reasons, but whatever floats your boat. And to answer your question, yes. I've kept everything on your list except bala sharks.

Good luck on your new set up.

How about a small group of denisons barbs (roseline)?

I see you took it the wrong way....wasn't trying to seem sarcastic at all. Hard to say that sometimes in words. I appreciate all the input that is given here very much. I can always go with another and don't have my mind setup, I just want a large group of loach's:

Clown
Yo-yo
Weather

Something that will go along with my setup. I love clowns....but just never had luck with them, however was smaller tanks.
