Potentially silly pleco questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's fine by me, it's not that important, I was just curious as to whether or not this was normal for an average common.

He's a nice fish, and my fiance really like him alot, so I want to do my best for him.

P.S. I warned you, my camera isn't great ^_~

he looks a lot like the first one, but his fin stands high and straight. And he's quite a bit darker than the second one. he's a dark chocolate, almost black out of the water, with those orange bands (they're only on his 2nd set of side fins, the name escapes me. Behind the pec. fins)

He's still pretty, whatever he is, and has taken up residence with my goldfish for the time being, until he gets a bit bigger, then he'll go back into the 75 with the clown knife.

Is there any possibility of a hybrid? Or are we just not figuring it out quite yet?

The L006 can go very dark in colour just as they can have quite a light tan colour, like this;

I definately think your pleco is some specific type of pleco and not a hybrid, its just a matter of finding out which one he is :thumbsup: . Can you get any more pics of him :) ?

I'm really starting to dilike my computer, I had to try opening those windows 4 times, just to be able to see what was on them!!

If the doral fin goes forward far on that L147, I'd say that's it!! His face is blunter than the one on planet catfish, but here's one that looks just like him!!

^this is not my picture, it's one off of photobucket. (picture by Jorsa)

Is this still a pretty common pleco? And will eat the same things it's been eating? (cichlid pellets, cukes, carrots, brine shrimp, occasional fish meat)
Or does it need more veggies than that in it's diet?
