[POTHOS!] I have questions about it...

Pothos can have a hard time transplanting substrates. So your soil-rooted, store-bought pothos may not do well in your filter and take a long time to acclimate. However, clippings rooted in water should thrive in your filter.

I believe the level of difficulty with transplanting acclimation ultimately depends on the variety of pothos
 
I'm a newb too. F1VET's thread gave me a lot of help and insight.

I took mine outside and knocked as much soil off as I could, then sprayed them with the hose to wash off the rest.

These plants love having the roots submerged in water. Especially aquarium water.
