^ yeah it's safe.. Mangroves suck, pothos is where it is at. I didn't care about water perams since I understock but I really wanted to grow a mangrove tree..
I have two cuttings from a potted pothos plant, one is potted (watered with tank water) the other lives in my 3D background. The one in the water is 60"+ the one in the pot is about 7" around. I got both cutting at the same time. Say the word if you want pics.
