Since I just asked the same question a couple days ago in another thread, I'll save you from answering. He uses a Canon 400d.

I don't see how it can be your monitor since you don't post process your shots. Most likely you're underexposing your shots by your camera settings. Also you should really use a remote flash since you already have one. You'll see a ton more detail if you use flash over the tank, lowering your ISO, and using smaller apertures.

It's my monitor-I take thousands of pics-I post the ones that look best on my screen-If I posted the ones that actually look over exsposed on my screen-It would be almost perfect I believe for other's comp screens....

Thats why I think it's my monitor-I can also go to my work and see a whole lot of difference from there to mine...
