Potomotygon Motoro Or Any Other Ray Sheding Stinger

Hay all, Im dumping so many questions on everybody because Im planning to purchase my first ray and im nervous yet excited. Im planning to purchase one from Pedro a 4-5in. Potomotygon Motoro because I heard there very hardy and easy to take care for. I know how rays shed there stinger every few months, I ws just thinking is it safe to collect the stingers? I mean like place them in a box where u can see how big the stinger gets from birth to death (hopefully it will be about 20 years untill death. I mean will thier still be some venom in the barb?

I have kept all of the stingers my rays have shed. Just make sure they are dry before you store them. I keep mine in a old medicine bottle. They shed them about every 6 months.

To make sure that venom is completely gone, boil the stinger until its white.

They are fine to save, most danger from them is spiking yourself with them lol
