Pound for pound hardest fighting fish

I don't know if anybody has ever hooked large sturgeon, but here in the northwest that's gotta be the toughest fighting fish I've ever hooked.

i'd say smallmouth bass or striped bass for freshwater. in my saltwater experience, i'd go with barracuda...they're nuts lol
