I wouldn't worry about the white hot water. I have heard it explained as tiny gas bubbles, but I don't have a source so... if you are using a bucket you could let the water sit overnight until it warms to room temp which is probably a lot closer to tank temp. I wouldn't worry about your hot water too much...

and eupterus; I usually let the gallon of bucket sit in the sun for the day and then I pour the water..it warms it up and in Japan they say it tskes out the chlorine.
i sometimes drop in a zoomed chlorine conditioner just in case.
also, do the stealth heaters have a thermostat in them? at night the room gets really cold and was wondering if it'll lower the tank temp down... i wanted something that would turn on/off toget todesired temperature
