I had a power cut today in fish room, tank temperatures have dropped to about 65f and the filters have been off,, whats the chances of the bacteria in the filters being dead now,, I keep big fish and multiple tanks I have 3 fx5 filters and 3 fluval 406 filters and 2 xp3 filters, I have never had a power cut before and iam fearing the worst that the filters are dead they could have been of for anything from 2 hours to 6 hours, any comments welcome

I had a tree fall on my power lines and was without power for a week. I just put battery powered air stones in and everything survived just fine. I would think you'll be alright.

Nah, you're fine.
Last year I got power cut for 12 hours, my tanks didn't have any issue nor my fishes, water temperature dropped around 55F (recently my heater failed and water dropped around 50F and none of my fishes die and all of them are SA species, I noticed the activity level in tank is slow down like everyone stick close together and pretty much same spot). In next few days my area getting a power cut for 2~4 hours too and I don't even worry about that :)

I've had my canisters and HOBs sit w/out power and circulation for 8-10hrs without harming them enough to notice it with my water parameter readings. Any longer and I'd probably open them up and place all media inside the tanks. Slow, gradual temp drops aren't harmful at all.
