I used to have power outages all the time in winter, one up to 3 days,
I started putting half inch stereo insulation panels on 3 sides and th bottom of tanks, and had one at the ready to cover the front just in case. reduced heat loss tremendously.
The permanent panels also saved a little on the average electric bill.
