Power feeding vs Over feeding

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well I don't believe I overfeed because there is no excessive food. The only leftovers is NLS powder because i'm feeding the 3mm formula and the clown loaches have to grind them down to smaller bits to eat them. This topic seems pretty mixed with some people approving and some disapproving. I was just wondering after seeing how bomber got amazing growth on his dats if i was doing it incorrectly

:grinno: I approve power feeding because I see great result from experience. I have not seen evidence of a shorter life span as stated above.:screwy:

When I do feed my baby fish, I give a little bit at a time. I do not dump fist fulls at a time. Its like us working out and eating 5x a day. I would rather eat small amounts 5x a day then just two large meals a day. A lot healthier, dont you guys remember health class from high school lol. I still do and im 31.:(

If your CL's have to chew the pellets, then the pellet size is too big.
I would suggest down sizing to the 1mm or 2mm NLS pellets.
They should be picking them up & swallowing them whole, one right after another. Feed the loaches first, then toss some 3mm pellets in for your dats.

I am going to have to try to NLS to see how my fish like it.

6+ inches, and raised exclusively on NLS.

Sold my friend. Which pellets would you recommend for my loaches? I know to get the 1mm to 2mm pellets but is there a certain type of NLS pellet I should buy.

Like massivore/carnivore/gold/etc.....

sorry to hi jack this thread.. ill send a pm.

Hmm seems like the difference would be excessive food.. I'll take RDs advice and get some smaller NLS pellets for my loaches. Is there any actual proof of this shorter life span?
