power filter

I'm so tired of buying a variety of different size filter cartridges for my aquariums and as I set up more tanks I'm wondering if their is a power filter with a reusable cartridges or cheap and efficient alternative I recently bought a small canister filter thinking I could change media myself and save a little $ (eventually cuz it wasn't cheap) I have not been very pleased with this canister filter it seems to clog easily and is a lot of trouble to clean and restart. Sponge filter seem to work ok for temporary set ups hospital and fry tanks but don't work well in tanks I'm not cleaning almost daily

aquaclear filters are the best around, and you just have to clean the sponge out im em like once a week. no cartridges to buy ever.

I agree with dmopar.

A little tip: ignore the ratings on the boxes. If you have a 20g, don't buy the '20g model', always go larger.
