power filter

I got a 47gal and it has a 350B Penguin Bio-Wheel Filter.It worked good but now the wheels are not moving and its not claening that good.I'm thinking of buying a AquaClear 110 or a Emperor 400.
well what is better than the one I have.

Can you change what goes in the filter or does it have cartridges.

you can put whatever you want in it. It comes with a sponge, carbon, and biomax. I always buy an extra pack of biomax and double it up. I put the carbon in a cabinet incase I need it some other time.

Did you try to clean the gunk (technical term) out of it? Several people ahve been having this trouble.

yeah just clean the whole thing once a month, i have 4 penguins and mine work great. just take everything apart and scrub it all. you also know that when the wheel stops turning you need to replace the filter.

I agree 100%. AC makes the best HOB filter IMO. Bigger flow rate with the option to use whatever media you prefer or need for its use.

Search around online. I've ordered a couple of AC110s for about $32 bucks.
