I feed my Pike ghost shrimp. I try my hardest to stay away from live food as I really don't want my Jag getting used to them.. I've seen some pretty ugly looking things happen when it comes to live food, both for the feeder fish, and the fish eating the feeders.

I would guess its the same thing as any other. High protein diet. Try beef heart and krill. I know the krill is very high in protein but is pretty expensive. My Pike has grown very quickly on sinking carnivore pellets. But due to a recent failboat, he now refuses to eat them so I am finding other things to feed him. I have also tried Talipia. Which he somewhat seems to like.

I dont know exactly how big your pike is, but if its to big for Krill, try the freeze dried plankton.

New Life Spectrum is a pelleted food from what I saw. At 8 inches, you can give the krill a shot.
