I was told by a rep. vendor to never power feed pikes or you will lose them....he was right...
I now feed a mixture of things which seems to work and be careful not to feed too much live food at one time because it makes the water quality an issue!!!
7 day cycle:
day 1) NLS 4.5 floating and Hikari 4.5 sinking pellets(these pikes are a foot long)not too many pellets...one of my male Atabapos loves them and the female not so much
day 2) Krill & silver backs( Frozen) they take them and spit them out then take them, and so on (may be a game for them, they love a fight but they do eat them)
day 3) NLS 4.5 floating and Hikari 4.5 sinking pellets(NLS does not make sinking in this size)
leave the area and watch from a distance and you will see they eat them all up, give them time.
day 4) NO FOOD...this could be done on day three.
day 5) Live trout worms and meal worms from your local tackle shop(not to much)
day 6) NO FOOD
day 7) pellets again and a major water change.....
this works for me.....
You might want to change this to a 10 day cycle depending on the amount of time you have for water changes...
