If he has water quality problems then most likely the tank is too small,wc not frequent enough and needs more filtration. Have you owned a silver arowana? They don't do good in cramped quarters. This is why you see so many getting jumping injuries and other defects like gill curl and drop eye. Bad water quality and not enough swimming room attributes to gill curl and drop eye along with some other factors.

No I have not had silver aro before. But I really think a 125gal is plenty for a 7in aro (I could be wrong). I am also aware of how large they get and the pbass also. Like I said this is not a life time tank. Water quality has not been a problem till about a week ago. Doing daily changes with salt has helped. Ordered a FX6 today so hopefully that solves the problem completely.
