Temperature is one of the last things I'd worry about in a power outage. I've forgotten to plug my heater back in after a water change and the temp dropped down to about 15 degrees, only issue was the fish slowed down quite a bit.

What should I do? The power just went out and is estimated to come back at around 9pm and it’s only 5:40 right now. Will my fish be okay for that long without and active filter or heater.

You will be fine this time, but go buy a generator. I got a portable one that supplies my whole house for under $600 and you can get a smaller one that can just run your tank and fridge for probably under $300. I don't know what your setup is but I have well over $6000 in fish so it was worth it for me. But to be honest if I had did not have a tank I would still have one. A refrigerator in freezer full of groceries and it would pay for itself, the convenience and it is not expensive at all. If you have natural gas you can get one that is Quieter than the gas one and you don't need to keep filling it up. but it's also more expensive. I would consider yourself lucky it was a short power outage And order one for the future because usually when the power goes out they sell out quick.
