Milky Way Galaxy,
ok i was thinking to get 2 rechargeable car batterys for my pond, and get a heater but insted of plugging it in to your socket or whatever its called i could connect it to the car battery. why i have 2? so when one dies i'll have another one already charged uped, and put the dead one on the charger again... so like a cycle. but can someone help me on how to connect the heater to the car battery?? am 13 so i dont really know how, but am good at following directions. i know you would have to cut off that pointy, plug in part at the end of it stip the plastic, but how would you find the negitive and postive?? or do you have too??? please help am a :newbie: at this...

how are you going to charge the battery ? electricity right?
you would need a converter . im not sure but i think that the chrarge on the battery would last a very short time.

i kno that but my grandpa just wants the satisfaction of not plugging it in... if the battery only last a day am fine with it cuz then ill have another once ready and charged... but why a converter ? couldt i strip the wires?

hahahha have fin im 13 two!

the difference is they are not the same type of electricity . AC and DC
gogle can explain it better .
if this was feasible everyone would have a battery hooked to everything

Umm...how is this gonna save you money on your electric bill? You still have to plug in the charger. If anything, you'll be using more energy because some energy is lost in the form of heat from the battery charging and discharging.
