Powerfeeding??....

I'm getting a 4-5" Silver Aro and am planning on a powerfeeding routine to make him grow,what do you guys suggest for food.

I would not suggest power feeding. Feed him a variety of food and a pellet staple. Feed two to three times a day till it is about 3-4 inches then go to once or twice a day. Power feeding will cause problems and should be avoided.

i suggest power water changes,and feed him varied diet like pellets,FD krill,MP,mealworm, etc

It's already bigger then 3-4 inches


Arowana grow fast as it is power feeding is not needed. Frequent water changes and a good variety in diet and you'll have a monster in no time. Have you check out the feeding sticky for some food ideas?

I feed mine pretty much whenever I pass the tank which is rough, my cichlids are getting fat. But the aro's growing, he's put on 2 inches the first month I've had him.

I agree water changes are the key, I do 50% weekly and his appetite picks up after each one.
