I agree with the higher K rating for sure. The double brights are 6,000k and they look great

that's interesting because the double brites are the only light that I absolutely hate. I dont own cichla though, so it could be dependant on the fish you keep, but I can't stand my mbuna setup with the double brites

very nice. I will say my yellow labs look good under the double brite, just not anything with blue lol Now it's making sense.

Your fish looks great. Maybe I have the wrong application for the light.........

I can see how the moon light might not be good for some fish's color and you can't run the light without them on
