I just set up my 125 and Im trying to maximize my filtration. I have no powerheads right now, as my only one just s*** the bed due to sand. Ive narrowed my choices to the AC110 or the koralia evo 1400gph. I need to keep all the crap suspended off my sand. I can either get 2 koralias or 1 aquaclear. I have used ACs and I know how good they are, but it is a very narrow stream of water. Koralias seem better, but Ive never used them. Any Input?

And I need a relatively quiet, relatively energy efficient submersible pump if that is at all possible. I'm thinking mag drives (mag 18), but they can be loud and they are power hogs. Any tips on this would be great too. Thanks for the help.

I have one koralia evo 1400 for my 125 and it DEFINITELY creates lots of current. I'd definitely recommend one over any other brand I've tried.

Thanks. That was my first choice. They have a relatively wide stream of water output too, right?

The big marinelands are kick but, cheep, and quiet. also comes with sponge if you want. I have several and love them.

Yes, extremely wide stream of water (compared to say an AC). You could also do two 1050s. 1400 will easily blow a giant hole in your sand if you aim it even a little two far down. It's intense. You could even do something like two 750s in the middle aimed towards the front corners depending on your bracing, split your output of your filter, etc. Lots of choices.

I like saying definitely a lot huh? ;)

koralia MAGNUM 6. Make sure it is magnum version. It costs little bit more than the regular one but very reliable, energy saver, super quiet. Simply BEST power head I've ever seen. Never go back to any different ones.

Ok good. Now Im not sure whether 2 1400s is too much. I attached a picture of my plan for placement, with the streaks being waterflow and the circles being the powerheads (excuse the horrible MS paint sketch). Kinda going for a crisscross action that should work pretty well to get stuff into my overflows. Do you think that the 2 1400s would be too much and I should just go with 2 1050s or even 750s?
