Powerhead experience?

My Rio 3400lph are p@#sing me off so i was going to setup a Tunze system, but after the $1200 quote i can't justify it. I am now looking at something like SunSun JVP 5000lph pumps (similar shape to the tunze and a few oters) and want to know if anyone has used something similar? Is the output wider than the "jet" like typical powerhead?

My Rio's have been fine for circulation purposes but they are starting to play up so i just want something that will do at least the job they did.

To anyone interested, i just put two Sunsun JVP 202b's (12,000 L/h) in my tank and the flow is spot on. I know they are a cheap brand but good idea if anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative to other brand wavemakers, and nice flow stream compared to traditional powerheads (no more firehose).

If you want a controller maybe try the resun wavers heard they were OK
