Powerhead for Clown Loaches

I use powerheads with over 500-600gph speed with my severums and loaches. Loaches like fast flowing waters. Your oscar should be fine. Just give allowance for space without currents for the oscar's sake.

Lupin, have you had problems with your powerheads sucking in sand? im thinking of putting sand in my 75 gal but im concerned about it getting in the powerhead. i dont want to put a sponge prefilter on the powerhead. any tips? thanks

Wait for the sand to settle completely and make sure the outflow does not swirl the sand that would get sucked into the powerhead thus damaging the magnet and impellers.
