Looking for advice on what powerhead to put into a tank to make a decent current for my loaches to swim/play against.

Will be a 125 gallon 6ft tank, PF Sand substrate, with driftwood/rock/fakeplants. Filtration will be at least a Fluval 305 and either a AC110 or another canister.

Going to be mostly Clown Loaches with a school of Congo Tetra, and possibily some Rainbows in the future.

Get an FX5 instead of the 305. Powerheads are up to you, I've been eyeing the koralia evolution models.

I have 6 large clowns in my 125.

You should put in real plants instead of fake!

You think about putting in some Asian fish instead of South American to match the clowns?

Which Koralia would you use? I'm a little unsure as to how many gph I would want for the 6ft 125. The congo's already live with the clowns in a 75, why they would go in with them, unless the friend thats buying my 75 wants the congos I guess.

I have a Fluval FX5 and 2 Koralia 4's. It works well. Only problem is that my fish are larger than the fish you're considering. There might be too much current for your smaller fish.

The fx5 has good output, but nowhere near enough for the one I run on my 125 to keep the substrate clean throughout the tank. And loaches like current.

i have a maxijet 1200 with the sure flow upgrade kit, i have 23 CL's and they love swimming in the current.
