does anyone own a Aqua Clear 70 powerhead, formerly known as 802. I just bought one and thought that it could be totally underwater. Although there is a stick on it that tells you the amount of watts it uses and so on and then above that it says do not emerse below the water line and then there is a line labeld waterline. Thats plain english for don't put it under water but I thought thats exactly what this thing is made for??? anyone have one of these???

Ive got two of them and both are fully submersed in my aquariums. I never noticed any water line mark Hang on ill go check, weird there arent any markings that mark the water level and in the manuel it states "In addition to being the ultimate submersible water movers, Aquaclear Powerheads also include the following design, safety and utilitym inovations:
Hermatically-sealed, completely submersible mtor units which are insulated with highly effective epoxy resin to insulate against harsh fresh water and saltwater environments"
So thats really odd that yours wouldnt be fully submersible
. Well maybe you should read the manuel, or take it to the lfs and ask about it.

Totally Submerged, never had a AC Power Head that didn't work like a charm! Dang AC Pheads IMHO are the BEST DAMN POWERHEADS AVAILABLE! Totally Submerged!
