There are many different types of power heads with different flow rates. Also you don't say the size of your tank this will make a big difference.

I would think they could take some flow they live in rivers.

sorry its a 55g and the powerhead is rated for 40 and up, hopefully its fine im buying my arrow tomorrow. its a odyssea sx250 powerhead.

Yes, small arowana can be easily over come by strong current. You should however be able to direct the flow to where it will not affect the aro much. You have plans for getting a very large tank soon?

Agree with Bderick , but if its big enough shouldnt be a problem , they seem to like some current.

yeah im gonna get a bigger tank later right now i got 3 3" silver arrows and 5 2" kigoma frontosas in there so yeah im planning on getting a bigger tank once they grow out of this one.

Good luck, hopefully they won't fight.

from my exp. grow the aros out to 5-7" in diff tanks then mix...trust me it will end better for you and the fish as one by one you will lose them...

i actually didnt pick up the arrowanas yet, but they sell 7" silvers. should i get just one of those instead and would my kigomas be safe at 2 to 3"s?
