I have two powerheads i just purchased for my 125gal tank, that are rated at 160GPH. Do i install both on one side of my tank, or one on each side of my tank........:nilly:

If you want the fish to think they are in a stream...both on the same side. If you are simply wanting circulation...anywhere they will hit "dead" spots on the bottom.

Thanks

bro 160GPH is nothing!
for pbass you need alot of flow.
I have 2 1600 GPH powerheads and sometimes its not enough

Agreed. I have an FX5, 2217, and Koralia Evolution 1400GPH on my 120g and still find myself wanting more!

LOL 160gph powerheads may barely be enough to push a few turds like 2" away. You need some of those Koralia Magnums :)

The Koralia Magnum sound great, but i just want to circulate the water, not make my fish feel there in a Washing Machine......:nilly:

I have a 180 and like to have a lot of flow in my tank. I think it makes cichla feel like it's in a larger tank because it keeps swimming but doesn't get far. Otherwise they keep ramming themselves into the tank when darting in the tank.

It's like those in door swimming pools where you swim in one place for hours because of the flow. The more powerful pumps are located at the top and the weaker ones are at the bottom so they can rest.
