I think I am going to get a powerhead for my 75, because the fluval 404 doesn't produce a lot of current. What brands are good? Same as regular filters?

Are Hydor Koralias good?

I like the AC powerheads I got a 901 in my 180g. And a 801 in my 135g. They both move a lot of water.

Expensive though. I could could an AC110 for the price of the 901.

i also like the AC powerheads... pricy but worth it (they are on sale at drfostersmith.com)

rio pumps are also good IMO, true they are not a powerhead so a lil diy would be required to give them a sponge filter

I agree^.

Rio pumps are great, they last forever, are cheap, and move a lot of water.

I use a Hydor for agitation on one of my tanks and like it a lot. Mainly for the exterior magnetic pad that you can use to easily move it around without getting wet at all. You don't have to worry about suction cups wearing out. Plus, they are very easy to point in another direction in the tank.

I use a koralia 3 for my 75 and my fish love it.,., its points in any direction without a loss of flow.,., and comes apart very easily for cleaning.,., great product.,., doesnt have a venturi valve though., so get your air else where.

ac70 w/quickfilter FTW
