believe me if you get 1 magnum 8 it will be like rapids in their. i have a 300g with a sand bottom and added 1 mag8. the next morning 1/2 the sand was piled up in the corner and the other 1/2 was in the filters. lol

had to get rid of it and get a mag5. much better for me.

if you put mag 8 in back corner on left and angled it a little forward it would make a nice circular current.

look at the current in my tank with 1 mag5. notice plants.
 
How do you feel about a closed loop? You can make it custom with as many outlets and valves as you want to have full control. No equipment in the tank except the outlets, and can be done cheaper with less maintenance than multiple pumps.
