The average cost of an Hydrolycus Armatus is from $250-$300 each. However you can get Hydrolycus Scomberoides for about $40 though they are prone to sudden death syndrome after about a year. Hence the low cost. As far as aggression I find they only act aggressively toward other silver fish of similar body shape. I housed them with Silver Dollars for a year and lost none of them. Heck the SD's didin't have any marks on them what so ever perfect fins and everything despite mock chasing by the Armatus's. Though maybe I have the exceptions to the rule.:D
