You know those shrimp that are pre-cooked(i think that are boiled) and frozen..can I feed those to turtles and fish? (the red shrimp)
or does it have to be raw? (gray shrimp)

I have fed them to my fish before...just make sure there is no salt added to them. But most fish do seem to prefer the raw any day tho :)

I've never fed them to my fish but in the threads that i've read in the past say RAW is best. they say all the nutrients are cooked out of the pre-cooked ones.

Raw is the best way to go...in fact the one time we even tryed a bag of old cooked shrimp from one of our freezers the fish all refused to eat it.

oh okay..i'll try to go get some market shrimp then..
they hold a long time in the freezer right? i hate frozen food that has been left in the freezer for a few weeks and has that "freezer" smell. but would fish refuse these food too?

No the fish wont refuse it just keep a box of baking soda...slightly open in the freezer works the same way it does in the refrigerator.

got it

You can avoid this by putting smaller ammounts into containers like small milk cartons and tupperware containers then covering with water before freezing. to use just thaw the chosen container. The water prevents freezerburn and avoids that smell.

oh that's creative guppy, thank you!
