I have heard about Knobb Creek,there is an indoor range nearby that rents FA weapons for use in their facility.That is the closest thing I know to Knobb Creek that we have.Dont know if I will ever get an MP5 but I did pick up a nice German made semi auto lookalike at the last show.I always wondered why the price of a basic AK47 is soo much lower than that of an AR15.Here an AR is almost three times higher.

ARs are built to tighter specs out of cast and forged parts. AKM receivers are stamped and cheaper to build. They also have very loose tolerances that any monkey (my self included) could put together.

All I know is if they do a full US ban on the 50 cal I WILL own one. I will take out a HUGE loan against my vette to cover the cost and I WILL have a barette . That's that. lol

If you are not stuck on a Barret and dont want to drop some cash, just get an AR lower and put a .50 single shot upper on it! hehe

Damn, Id hate to see how much that cost you! about $2500? I have friend whos uncles life passion is stocking up on ammo. At his "camp" I bet there is over a quarter million rounds of ammo in various calibers! I know who to befriend if the SHTF!

Guess I'll put my 2 cents in before this gets closed....Sure does seem to be a rash of that lately with any thread that is substantual or above toliet humor.

Reloading equipment and supplies are about all I'm stocking up on. I've got an 03 FFL so I'm not all that worried about loss of access to the stuff I'm interested in.
