Predator mix questions

Didn't know they were expensive. They don't have to be large. But medium size like rose line or filament are good choices. Not sure about price where you live.

Red tail cudas would be fine.

They have pink tail characins here, are those what you speak of?
Pink tails and knive are 7USD at 3 to 4 inch
Barbs range from 4-25 USF

Pink tail Chalceus are different that red tail barracudas. That's still a good alternative for a top zone fish. I have 6 Chalceus and are very good hardy fish.

African knife fish will go well with Polypterus.

So 1 small polypterus, a bush fish if i can find one, pink characin and a knife fish with an aquacleae 110 and 40% WC?

Yea...that's a good start. I'd say 40-50% 1-2 per week, depends how much you feed and tank size.

Add some pothos plants and that'll help with keep nitrates down.

pothos isnt found here, and feeding will be once per day to keep nitrate down

Where do you live?

I would keep feeding to 3 time per week. Thats what I do. It keep helps keep the water clean and avoid bloat. To each their own.

South africa, wouldnt less feeding bring more aggression?

Less feeding doesn't bring out more aggression. Feeding pellets every other day or not as often will be suffice.

Just don't feed live fish. Then other fish won't look at other fish as food when introduced.

South Africa, not sure how the market is there. But you can always post what's available and someone can always help stocking a tank for you.

Not to derail your thread man but i was curious.... being in south africa are i would think tons of cool polys would be available to you. Is that true or are they sold overseas asap
