from what ive read they wont hit that 12" is a good size, though i may be wrong but that means the best word UPGRADE

i just feed my A. pike and it ate 8 small goldfish feeders and its only 9 inches so that just tells you how aggresive and beastly they are heres some pics of mine

think its decided an odoe pike it is, for the bottom im not sure maybe a bichir though i saw 5" striped raphael cats at wallmart y'day for $5. Was tempted even though it was walmart and i dont have the tank yet.

i got a striped rafael and it NEVER comes out of its cave so if you want an active bottom dweller dont get that

I actually have questions for you jloos, a) how fast did yours (pike) grow b)should i get more than one pike and c)would it attack corys if i got a large shoal of them.
